The S.T.A.R.S. Mentoring Program is a non-profit organization that was implemented to help keep Portland youth active in the gym and out of gang and street activities. S.T.A.R.S. works directly with local alternative schools to keep at-risk students on track to graduate on time. For more about the S.T.A.R.S. Spread DaLove Foundation President & Co-Founder Da’Love Woods has been selected the 2018 St. Mary's Academy Award winner for Outstanding Achievement in Athletics & Community Service. Her experience as a professional basketball player paired with a Master’s in Education are two qualities that truly make Da'Love unique in our community. Da’Love mentors youth with an emphasis in education through sports activities; Da'Love embodies what it means to be successful in both sports, education and community outreach.
